About us
Jake's has been a local landmark for decades. Located in the heart of Tainter Lake Township, five miles north of Menomonie, we pride ourselves on great food, and a cozy atmosphere.
The Owners
Kim and Peter Gruetzmacher re-opened Jake's Supper Club in the Spring of 2009. Both attended University of Wisconsin Stout, and have spent time in the area over the years. They jumped at the opportunity to continue the Jake's tradition and are continuing to improve on what has proved to be a community landmark. Peter is very involved in the community, is a member of Rotary, and hosts several events a year benefiting the Special Olympics and the local Humane Society.
The Experience
When you walk into Jake's you will be invited to the bar to enjoy one of the 20 tap beers, including a few local specialties. Don't forget to try one of the classic cocktails such as our Famous Old Fashioned, or Jake's Manhattan, and save room for a Brandy Alexandar after dinner. You will be delighted with our menu offering Supper Club favorites such as Walleye, and Prime Rib, and other local favorites. We pride ourselves on our scratch kitchen where all of our sauces, dressings are desserts are homemade.
Tainter Lake
Jakes Supper Club is located on the shores of scenic Tainter Lake. Tainter Lake is an impoundment created by the damming of the Red Cedar at Cedar Falls. Jake's is located on the channel between upper and lower Tainter Lakes. Jake's has several docks and gas available for your convenience.
